THE 5Es: THE EPIPHANY
Virtually every parent who works with Michele reveals this as the biggest lesson they’ve learned from her:
“No one is more responsible for getting an athlete’s dreams of a football scholarship to happen than me”
This was the epiphany Michele had that led to her developing Athlete Prospect Buzz.
In her own words…
Michele Richardson, Football Mom
I was a parent who knew nothing about the recruiting process, solely depending on my son’s coaches or some third-party to handle his recruiting. I really wanted to help my son get a college football scholarship so I wouldn't have to rely on someone else to determine the fate of his future. The thing is I wasn’t finding resources or ANY training about the recruiting process that weren’t “sketchy” at best -- and a lot of out of pocket costs with very little evidence of any return.
To make things worse, I felt terrible because my son was relying on me as his parent to find the answers on how he could get a football scholarship. We began to see other athletes getting college offers even as early as the 8th grade and I wanted my son to have the same! I know my son began to question whether he was good enough to play at the next level, that broke my heart and made me so determined to try even harder.
I kept being told by trainers, coaches and other parents whose sons had gone through the recruiting process that my son, Bryson, had the talent, but that it wasn’t just about talent that gets you a football college scholarship!. It was beginning to be crystal clear to me just how the recruiting process worked and an important lesson I learned was that starting in 8th grade was NOT too early to get things going. Realizing that it wasn’t just about talent or measurables, I began to believe I was able to finally help my son get on the right path that would lead him to possibly getting a football college scholarship…as long as I had the right tools.
So, I needed to put my son's future in my own hands by educating both of us on the WHO, WHAT, WHY AND HOW of the recruiting process. I did, and that’s how my son received $220,000 in scholarships.
During the process, I started talking to parents from our community and understood I wasn’t alone and they were hungry for the information I had turned into a constant, regular, regimented and ongoing process. I realized that there was more need than I could handle one at a time, so that’s why I developed Athlete Prospect Buzz’s three key products:
The 5E Course
5E Personal Coaching
These products let me reach as many parents as are in need, and also, the self-guided products allow me to ETHICALLY provide at fair and worthwhile prices the beginnings of a recruiting process education to parents.
I am happy to offer real value by teaching parents how to help their sons’ recruiting journeys.
I hope you’ll give me a chance to help make your Player’s dreams a reality!
