“The NFL was never even a thought in his mind, and even college - we had never even thought he could get a scholarship to college, until we met Michele and she gave us insight and hope. Mason had always worked very hard, and he started working even harder because he knew he could accomplish that. Mason is a strong-willed and strong-minded young man and he wants to succeed.”

“I would like to say how grateful we are to Michele. She's a wonderful person. She’s very trustworthy. She’s honest. She’s dependable. I highly recommend Michele Richardson if you are looking to improve your chances of getting scholarships for football.”

MASON BUNDY

Mason Bundy signed with the Liberty Flames in December of 2020. He had his choices from Arkansas State, FIU, UConn, UMass, Western Kentucky and several FCS schools. According to Mason’s mom, Dena, before their family met Michele Richardson and experienced all APB had to offer, they’d never dreamed of getting a football scholarship, much less one from Division I schools. And now, Mason dreams of playing in the NFL, though he’s committed to maximizing his education at Liberty in construction or business management.

Mason had always worked very hard, and he started working even harder because he knew he could accomplish that. Mason is a strong-willed and strong-minded young man and he wants to succeed.”

Mason is 6’6'' and 280 lbs and plays as a defensive lineman. He came from Fannin County High School in Blue Ridge, GA. Besides his recognition of the role Michele played in his achieving his football recruiting dreams, Mason credits his trainer, his coaches in high school, his parents, and his faith for “having been with me through the entire journey of taking me to camps, training and visits. I am forever grateful to them.”

We look forward to seeing great things from Mason at Liberty as he enters college this fall.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS

IT ALL STARTS WITH CHARACTER

The career of an athlete is built on a firm foundation of character. How you conduct yourself on, and off, the field is as important, maybe even more important, than your talent. Because character defines how you come through when the process of getting a scholarship is challenged by differences with your teammates or coaches, personal obstacles and even when the best families have differences.

When you think about your character, how do you define yourself:

  • When nobody is watching?

  • When you feel your talent is stronger than the two or ten best players you’re competing with?

  • When training season is done and you’re left to your own schedule?

  • When a friend or teammate is in need?

  • When you’re challenged by an academic problem and don’t want to ask for help?

Coaches and academic advisors see these character traits and more. Don’t risk losing a scholarship because your character (or lack of) overshadows your talent. Build your character muscles with good habits, kindness and perseverance.

KNOW YOUR ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

The NCAA has eligibility requirements for play in their division that are paralleled by other divisions. And while these are important, your school requirements will most likely be higher. Learn as much as you can about your top choice in schools’ requirements. APB Data puts this information at your fingertips.

This is just the beginning of what you will need to know and put into practice to make your dreams of a football scholarship happen. Count on Athlete Prospect Buzz to guide and support you throughout your high school journey to give you the best possible chance at making your college football dreams happen.

“I actually wanted to find someone who had a kid or a nephew or someone who had been through this. I wanted to get with somebody who was knowledgeable about the recruiting process and actually was involved by having a kid or nephew of someone who they actually GOT to the next level. That’s how I found Michele. She knows her stuff.”
